Our School

Chambers Hill Elementary School is a small community based school with a student population of 260 students.  Nearly all of the students ride a bus to school but a few walk.  A crossing guard helps them get to our school safely.  Class sizes range from 16-25 which allows teachers to provide quality instruction.

The school offers a comprehensive curriculum including integrated language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, health, art, vocal music, physical education, library instruction, guidance, and computer instruction.  Language arts and math are taught daily while instruction in science, social studies and health is presented several times weekly.  Music, art, library instruction is conducted weekly in 40 minute periods.  Music lessons are offered to those students in grades 4-5, choosing to play a band or stringed instrument.  The instrumental teachers also conduct band and orchestra during rehearsals and concerts.  Students in grades 4-5 may also choose to participate in the school chorus.  Concerts involving the band, orchestra, and chorus occur in December and May.

Special services such as speech and language, gifted education, school counseling, learning support, are also offered at Chambers Hill.  Students qualifying for these services receive support based on their needs.
